Research has shown that good nutrition and hydration is especially beneficial for older people in the prevention of falls, illnesses, and mental health issues. With the onset of dementia, cooking for one and eating alone can be a major cause of older people failing to meet their nutritional and hydrational needs adequately, resulting in increased admissions to hospital.
